A Complete Warehouse WiFi Installation Service
A successful installation brings together the wireless design of physical infrastructure and network configuration. Depending on your project requirements, our installation scope can include: Structured network cabling and fiber links, Network cabinets, patch panels and PoE switches, Access point and antenna installation, Connections to your existing IT infrastructure, Wireless network and security configuration, Coverage surveys and operational device testing, Installation documentation and handover, We agree on the scope before work begins, so you understand what is included and what your team needs to provide.
Planning Before Installation
We review your floor plan, racking layout, ceiling heights and intended coverage areas. We confirm access point locations, mounting arrangements, cable routes and supporting network requirements. For existing warehouses, we also assess which parts of the current infrastructure can be retained. Where survey or design work is required, we complete it before finalizing the installation plan. We coordinate with your warehouse and IT teams to establish site access, working hours, equipment access requirements and any planned network interruptions.
Cabling and Network Infrastructure
Reliable wireless access depends on reliable connections behind each access point. We plan and install cabling to suit the building, cable distances and agreed network design. Where required, fiber links connect cabinets or serve areas beyond suitable copper cabling distances. Our installation includes appropriate cable support, termination and labeling. We check PoE requirements and switch capacity against the selected equipment, and test new cabling as part of the agreed scope.
Access Point and Antenna Installation
WiFiMax installs Ruckus, Cisco, Aruba and Ubiquiti UniFi access points and supporting equipment. We mount access points at the locations and heights specified in the wireless design. Ceiling mounting, suspended mounting arrangements and suitable brackets are selected according to the building structure, access requirements and coverage objectives. Where external or directional antennas are specified, we install and orient them to suit the intended coverage areas. We also consider maintenance access and protection from moving equipment.
Installation Around Your Operations
We discuss how the work will affect picking aisles, loading areas, forklift routes and staff access. Where practical, installation can be staged by area or coordinated with quieter operating periods. Any work that requires an aisle closure, elevated access equipment or a network interruption is planned with your site team. The aim is to keep the project organized and reduce disruption while providing suitable access for the installation work.
Network Configuration and Integration
We configure the wireless network to support your agreed operational and security requirements. This can include staff and device SSIDs, VLANs, authentication, management access and RF settings. We coordinate with your IT team on addressing, firewall requirements and access to warehouse management systems. Configuration takes account of your barcode scanners, handheld terminals, forklift-mounted computers and other wireless devices.
Documentation and Support
Your team needs a clear record of the completed installation. Agreed handover documentation can include access point locations, equipment inventories, cable labels, configuration details and survey results. We also explain management access and the support arrangements included in your proposal. Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and future network changes can be scoped separately to suit your business.
